What colleges start late in January?

There aren't many, if any, traditional four-year colleges in the United States that start their academic year as late as January. The vast majority begin in August or September. A January start is far more unusual.

You might find some exceptions in very specific circumstances:

* Semester systems with a Spring start: Some colleges might *optionally* allow students to begin coursework in January if they're entering mid-year or have a particular program structure, but this isn't the standard start date.

* Summer/Winter sessions: Many colleges offer condensed summer and winter sessions, but these are not full academic years. A January start might be the beginning of a short winter session.

* Non-traditional institutions: Some smaller, non-traditional institutions or vocational schools might have alternative schedules.

To find a college with a January start, you'd need to do very specific searches focusing on "alternative academic calendars," "winter session programs," or contacting colleges directly to ask about their enrollment options. Don't expect to find many that offer a full academic year beginning that late.
