Learn Spanish. Even though many people know how to speak English, most of their classes are taught in Spanish. When you speak Spanish, the locals feel closer to you and will want to help you more.
Take your studies seriously. Despite U.S. universities being among the best, people who have studied abroad report tough foreign curriculum. If you are already in college, or you are taking Spanish classes in anticipation of studying in Argentina, put more effort in your studies as it will pay dividends.
Do an Internet search for Argentina universities. Use Spanish words as their universities use Spanish. Chose a link and review it. Click on "Administracion y Finanzas," "Ingresantes" or any link indicating "new students" to get more information.
Get information about the university's home city. Visit the U.S. Embassy Argentina web page. Contact that embassy and obtain information about the city you intend to study in. Phone the Argentina Embassy in the United States to obtain specific information about student visas, and other needed documentation. Make sure you complete all paperwork and have them handy.
Fly to your university's city. Get a tour, and obtain university and city specific information. This will be a good time to plan how you are going to live and study. Live on campus your first year. Explore surrounding areas during your visit. Make exploration plans for when you start your studies.
Go through the admissions process. When it is time to start your first term, attend the orientation and enjoy your studies.
