Freshman applicants have to submit an application for admission. This application can be printed or filled out online. You'll also have to submit your high school transcript, your official SAT and/or ACT score reports, a recommendation form completed by your high school counselor, and a 300 to 500 word essay or writing sample that's described on the application. After an initial review, you may have to submit your fall semester/term grades or more SAT/ACT scores.
Home-schooled students have to submit the application form and essay, a transcript, official SAT and/or ACT scores and two Berry College Personal Recommendation Forms, which can be downloaded from the school's website.
As a transfer applicant, you must have had a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.5 at your previous college or university. Furthermore, you need to have a Berry College Transfer Recommendation Form on file for each school that you previously attended.
International applicants have to complete the equivalent of a U.S. secondary school diploma and arrange for Berry College to receive official or certified copies of any diplomas, degrees or other certificates received from the secondary school, college, university, and other schools that you've attended. All of the academic records that you submit have to be in in English, otherwise, a certified literal translation needs to be included along with the original document. You need to submit your scores from either the SAT, with a 500 minimum on each section, or the ACT, with a 22 composite score. If you come from a non-English speaking country, you need to submit their Test of English as a Foreign Language score. Additionally, international applicants need to complete the Declaration of Finances form, which can be downloaded from the school's website.
In order to be considered for admission to Berry College, you need to have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. You must complete a Berry Graduate Education application online and an educational goal statement of approximately 500 words. The documents that you can submit by email, fax or mail are your transcripts, two recommendation forms, your current resume, Graduate Record Examinations or Miller Analogies Test official test results, and a federal background check. Initial certification students need to submit Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators Basic Skills Test results. Master of Education students need to submit the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators Content Test results. Education Specialist applicants need to submit Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators Leadership scores and the Superintendent's Assurance form. If you're an international applicant, you need to submit their Test of English as a Foreign Language score. All of these can be submitted by e-mail, fax or mail.
