Go to the College Board website and complete sample questions to assess your areas of strength and weakness. These sample questions reflect the nature of the questions featured on the actual Accuplacer test and will help you gain a deeper understand of what is expected of you. Use a current SAT or ACT preparation test to study the areas in which you need most help.
Review basic grammar, sentence structure, reading comprehension, algebra, arithmetic and trigonometry. Ask a friend or family member to review these concepts with you for several weeks or months before you are assigned to take your test.
Get a good night's sleep the night before you take the test, and eat a nutritious meal prior to taking the test. Being well rested and satiated can help you keep your focus during the test and will help you perform at your highest level.
