Cut the curling ribbon into six to seven foot lengths. You will need one curling ribbon piece for every balloon that you are putting into the stacked balloon bouquet. Matching the color of the balloons to the ribbon adds a detailed touch to your balloon bouquet.
Inflate the balloons with helium. You can do this if you have access to a helium tank or purchase them already inflated from a party store. Make sure that the balloons are all the same size. You can also use a mylar balloon as a centerpiece in the stacked balloon bouquet.
Tie a piece of curling ribbon around each balloon. You can loosely tie all of the balloons to a chair to keep them from getting away from you after tying them. If you buy the balloons already inflated, let the store know that you need the ribbons to be a certain length and color.
Tie the first four balloons in a four leaf clover pattern so they are secure. Use a fifth balloon (or the mylar centerpiece balloon) and tie it in the center, rising above the first four balloons. Tie four more balloons below the first four, two at a time. Continue this until your stacked balloon bouquet is the desired height you want.
Tie off the ribbons all together in a knot at the bottom of the bouquet at one or two feet for a table display or three to five feet for a floor display. Trim the excess ribbon. Leave enough ribbon to attach a balloon weight and then curl the ends for a decorative touch.
