Go to the Community College of Philadelphia's home page for student admissions. You will find this by clicking on "Prospective Students" in the navigation bar. Check to make sure you are applying during an appropriate time of year. December 1 is the typical deadline for spring semester while August 1 is standard for fall.
Apply online or in person at the main campus. Answer all questions on the application fully, and do not leave any blanks. If you are unsure about a question, call the admissions office for assistance at 215-751-8261, or apply in person to eliminate any confusion. To apply online, you will first have to make a free account with the school.
Wait for a letter that will be mailed to you. This will confirm you have completed your application and it has been received. This may be an email if you apply online. After you have received this notice, apply for financial aid if needed. You can file for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (see Resources), or research the Financial Aid section of CCP's website for additional options.
Activate your MyCCP student account. This will be a college email account, as well as login information to navigate your way around both the school website and campus itself. You will find instructions for activating and using MyCCP in the letter you receive. This account is required for admission, as the school uses it for everything from placement tests to financial aid.
Take your placement test. Usually you will need to take reading, math and English before you can register for classes. After these tests are completed and passed, you may register and pay for your classes. You're then ready to start life as a CCP student.
