Navigate to the National Student Loan Data Service website and select "Financial Aid Review." In addition to providing a listing of all student loans, the National Student Loan Data Service also provides information about loan payment plans. After clicking "Financial Aid Review," read the terms of the Privacy Agreement and click "I Accept," then click "Yes" to accept 128-bit encryption.
Enter your log-in information to the National Student Loan Data Service website. Provide your Social Security number, the first two letters of your last name, your date of birth and Department of Education PIN. Your Department of Education PIN is the four-digit PIN number you selected when you filed your first Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
View the main page for general information about your student loans. The main page will list all of your federal and private loans, types of loan, loan amount, loan date, disbursed amount of the loan, any canceled amount of the loan, the outstanding principal and the outstanding interest. The main page will also list your total outstanding principal and interest.
Click on the number beside an individual loan for details. The page for each specific loan will list the status of your loan, the loan servicer, the lender that made the loan and the guaranty agency for the loan. The specific loan page will also list the contact information for the loan servicer, the lender and guarantor.
