School Grants for Hair Stylists

Hair stylists provide hair care treatments and services. They often attend community colleges, vocational schools or apprenticeship programs to learn the basics of hair cutting, styling, coloring, bleaching, shampooing, highlighting and more. States require hair stylists to gain licensure before they can practice their craft legally, and most require that students complete an accredited cosmetology program. Aspiring hair stylists can gain grants and scholarships to attend cosmetology programs.
