Harvard Executive MBA Programs

Harvard University's School of Business in Cambridge, Massachusetts offers several Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programs for executives. Participants are expected to live on campus while taking these courses. Business casual dress is acceptable. All rooms features desktop computers and high-speed Internet access. Financial assistance is not available for most programs. Fees include living accommodations, program materials and most meals. Classes vary from between 40 and 80 students. Over half of attendees are from outside the United States.
  1. Program for Leadership Development

    • This seven-month program is designed for the next generation of executive leaders. Those with at least 10 years of work experience in management or functional specialties may benefit from this course of study, and participants represent a diversity of industries. Classes consists of on- and off-campus modalities, with components for the individual and in the classroom. Sponsorship by a current employer is required.

    General Management Program

    • This four-month program is designed for those who recently undertook or expanded general management responsibilities. It offers executives analytical skills and helps develop leadership style for complicated business endeavors. According to the website, the most common titles for executives enrolled in this program are director, manager, partner, general manager and senior vice president. Generally, attendees have 15 to 20 years of experience in their fields. Due to the diversity of the participants, the program offers good networking opportunities in addition to coursework.

    Advanced Management Program

    • The two-month advanced management program is geared for business unit heads, executives, and government agency and non-profit leaders. Study includes examination of management concepts from the perspective of the capital markets, consumer markets and the global economic environment. The program is designed to enable executives to grow their organizations through various economic climates for profitability. Partial scholarships may be available for those in the non-profit sector.
