Types

• In California, two major groups offer divorce mediation training, professional mediators and volunteer organizations. Professional mediators are more likely to offer mediation training specifically for divorces.

Free Training

• Volunteer organizations such as Humboldt Mediation Services often offer free basic mediation training. Universities and businesses sometimes also provide mediation training to their students and employees. The basic mediation training may not cover special considerations associated with divorces.
