How to Get a Transcript From SMU's Engineering School

To obtain a transcript of classes taken at Southern Methodist University's Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering, contact the SMU registrar's office in person or submit a request online. The transcript request form will ask if you need an official transcript with SMU's seal mailed to another university or employer, or a personal copy without the seal of the university. The registrar will mail an official transcript directly to the specified recipient. An unofficial transcript without the university's seal will be mailed to you.

      Ensure that all outstanding debts have been paid. The SMU registrar's web page for transcript requests asserts that official transcripts "are not processed if the student has an outstanding obligation, financial or otherwise."

      Go to the registrar's office in the Laura Lee Blanton Student Services Building, 6185 Airline, Rd, Dallas, Texas. Take a photo ID and fill out the request form. Specify whether you want an official or unofficial transcript and the address to which to mail the transcript.

      Visit Southern Methodist University's website if you cannot visit in person. Click on "Quick Links" at the top of the screen. Scroll down to "Registrar" and on the new screen click on "Transcript Requests." Enter all information requested.
