All applicants to Brock Health Science must have completed the Ontario English course eng4u or equivalent. Eng4u is a grade 12 English course that consolidates communication, literature and critical thinking skills. Any grade 12 English course covering literature and communication skills can be considered as an equivalent.
All applicants must have completed the biology course sbi4u or an equivalent. Sbi4u is the Ontario school system's grade 12 biology course. It covers everything from evolution to molecular biology. An equivalent course would be a survey course covering the basics of biology at a grade 12 level.
All applicants must obtain at least a 70 percent in the chemistry course sch4u or an equivalent. Sch4u covers organic chemistry, energy, chemical systems, electrochemistry and atomic structure. To be considered an equivalent, a course should cover all these topics at a grade 12 level.
All applicants are expected to have completed a grade 12 level math course. The Ontario course mdm4u is preferred, though not required.
The course pse4u is highly recommended for students who are considering applying to Brock's health sciences program. Pse4u is an exercise sciences course that teaches the systems involved in human development. While it is not necessary to have completed this course, it will help you if you are a close call for admission
