Analyze the writing of the student. The handwriting must be legible, and the spelling and grammar must be at a reasonable level. The meaning must be clear. The information must be organised clearly and coherently.
Check any specialist vocabulary to confirm that it is used appropriately.
Evaluate whether the student has displayed an understanding of the topic at hand; check that a range of information is used and that it is relevant to the questions asked.
Make sure than anything unknown is worked through using the appropriate methods learned previously.
Ensure that students have planned their practical tasks well, considering ethical issues, safety precautions and choice of techniques, processes and methods.
Check the validity, reliability and accuracy of any observations made. Ensure that measurements are made accurately.
Read through the student's evaluation. Students must comment on their results about the impact of methods chosen, any mistakes made and anything that could have affected the outcome.
Work out the students overall grade based on the amount of marks achieved: 600--480: A, 479--420: B, 419--360: C, 359--300: D, 299--240: E, 239--0: U.
