Arkansas Baptist College is located in Little Rock, Arkansas. It offers certificates as well as associate and bachelor's degrees in various subjects. These include African American Community Leadership, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Human Services and Christian Education. Arkansas Baptist College is a faith-based college and the only historically black Baptist higher education facility west of the Mississippi. It has an enrollment of about 400 students as of 2010.

Bishop State Community College was established in 1927 in Mobile, Alabama and accommodates more than 3,000 students in a typical academic year. It has four city campuses and offers one-year, two-year and four-year programs. Areas of study include psychology, sociology, history, political science, business and economic subjects, developmental education, the humanities, natural sciences and mathematics.
