Great Business Colleges

U.S. News & World Report ranks undergraduate business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The rankings are based on a peer assessment survey. Businessweek uses student surveys and recruiter surveys in its rankings. The Princeton Review ranks 300 business schools in 11 categories, such as most competitive students, based on interviews with students and data from school administrators.
  1. University of Pennsylvania

    • U.S. News & World Report recently ranked the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania #1 in its list of best undergraduate business programs. The program combines business and liberal arts courses. Students can select an area of specialty from 20 concentrations offered through 11 departments. Upon completion of the program, students earn a bachelor of science in economics. The school also offers master of business administration programs, doctoral programs and an executive education program for individuals and organizations.

    Massachusetts Institute of Technology

    • Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management has an undergraduate program in management science that provides students with analytical skills and knowledge that equips them to solve problems in business. The school offers a doctorate program and several programs at the master's level. The two-year MBA program, for example, blends theory with practice and has flexibility that lets students create a program that suits their academic and professional goals. The school offers a non-degree executive education program for senior executives.

    University of California-Berkeley

    • The Haas School of Business University of California Berkeley undergraduate program consistently ranks among the top four in the nation. The school offers both full-time and part-time MBA programs. The part-time program is offered evening and weekends. The PhD program lets students perform research in business-related disciplines. Graduates of the program usually become faculty members at leading universities. The school also offers non-degree programs. Customized executive education programs, for example, are taught throughout the year at client sites and on the Berkeley campus.

    University of Virginia

    • The University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce offers a two-year business program for students beginning their third year at the University of Virginia. Upon completion of the integrated core experience (ICE), students select a field of concentration. At the graduate level, the school offers a master of science in commerce, a master of science in the management of information technology, a master of science in accounting and the Ernst & Young "Your Master Plan" master of science in accounting. For non-business students the school offers the McIntire Business Institute.
