Top Private Business Colleges

Many of the top business schools in the nation can be found at many of the nation's largest public universities. However, there are a few smaller private colleges that offer high quality business programs at both the undergraduate and graduate degree levels. In some cases, these private schools have been established solely for the sake of providing business education.
  1. Dartmouth College

    • Among programs offering the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Dartmouth College continually ranks among the top programs in the nation. In 2010, Dartmouth was ranked No. 7 by "U.S. News & World Report," among all MBA programs in the United States. The significance of the No. 7 ranking can be seen in the fact that it makes Dartmouth the highest rated non-university private business school in the nation. The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth is world renowned for its international focus within its business curriculum. Dartmouth was similarly ranked by "Business Week" and "Financial Times," which ranked the Dartmouth program at No. 12 and No. 13, respectively. The core curriculum of the MBA program requires courses in areas such as Analysis for General Managers, Global Economics for Managers and Competitive and Corporate Strategy.
