Make one-inch margins on each side of the paper. This should lead the document to be 8.5 by 11-inches.
Chose a simple, direct font. Arial and Times New Roman are the most frequently recommended. Use either 10 or 12 point font.
Create a header for each page that will display on the left top margin. The header must have the title of the summary in all capital letters. The title shouldn't be longer than 50 characters or 12 words.
Write your summary. This should highlight all the information found in your research. On the first line insert "Abstract" and center it. The summary should only be one paragraph long, and no lines should be indented.
The word count should be between 150 and 250 words. Your summary should include relevant information pertaining to your research, and can include information regarding possible implications or conclusions.
Add keywords to the bottom of your summary. Type the word "Keywords" in italics and follow it with a colon. List your keywords and the center the line. The keyword section will function as an aide to other researchers who come across your piece.
Number each page used on the upper right margin. Double space the lines on each page of the document.
