How to Connect With Atom Fusion Scientists

Networking with scientists is a great opportunity to learn about new techniques and research currently under investigation in the scientific community. Connecting with atom fusion scientist can readily be done in two ways. The scientific communities associated with each specific research field hold annual and semi-annual conferences at which the recent developments in that field are presented and discussed. There are no requirements to attend these conferences other than being a member of that particular scientific community. Membership in the community is not restricted to scientists and is open to anyone who pays the annual membership dues. The other route to connecting with an atom fusion scientist is to participate in the hundreds of online forums relevant to the atomic fusion field. Recently many science-related social networking site have emerged that are formatted much like Facebook.

Become a member of a scientific social networking site. ResearchGate is a recently developed site that allows scientists from all over the world in academics, government and industry to hold discussions on research topics. To access the site go to www.researchgate.net. Scroll down and click the button that says "Sign up for free." Fill in the required information to become a site user. When logged on, go to the profile page and click on the "Home" icon in the upper right portion of the screen. At the Home page click on "groups" on the left side of the page under your name. This will bring you to the "Groups" page. Scroll down to the section that says "Browse by Categories." From this section click the "physics" tab, and then under the "refine by discipline" heading click "elementary particle physics." This will display all the groups that are currently discussing topics in atomic fusion and the members associated with each group. Click on a group of interest to comment on any member's post to initiate a discussion.
