Research an accredited nursing school and find out the application process, deadlines, tuition price and any information about course schedules and material. The city of Tuscon's nursing schools include Brookline College, Pima Medical Institute, the University of Arizona and Tuscon College. You can research information about each school's nursing program by visiting their website and browsing the academic programs and degrees.
Turn in your application well before the deadline. This will greatly increase the chance that you're accepted. Many nursing programs fill up quickly, so it is advisable to have your application fully completed months before the deadline.
Understand the criteria and adhere to the prerequisites. Some of these may include high school health and science classes. Many nursing programs also require that students be CPR-certified before enrolling in their program. You also will need a high school diploma in order to be admitted into any nursing program.
Obtain transcripts from the high school where you graduated.
