How to Withdraw From an Online Class at Longwood

According to Longwood University's Registrar office, the institution has strongly emphasized moving from paper systems to an online information system for class registration, including registering for, adding and withdrawing from classes. Students may make their schedule adjustments for all classes, including those taken online. You may also make these schedule changes in person at the Registrar's Office or online at the MyLongwood website.

      Navigate to the MyLongwood website. Enter your username and password in the upper left corner, and click "Log In."

      When your MyLongwood homepage appears, find the "Bookmarks" box on the left. Under the "Quicklinks" folder in the "Bookmarks" box is a list of links, including one labeled "University Offices." Click "University Offices," and find and highlight the link to the Registrar's Office.

      Choose the "Add/Drop" class option, indicate the class you wish to drop. Follow the directions given to confirm your intention to drop the class. Answer "Yes" to the confirmation questions that you wish to drop that specific class. When you have completed the confirmations, you have now dropped the online class.

      Call the Registrar's Office at (434) 395-2580 if you have any additional questions or want to confirm you have successfully dropped out of the online class.
