How many Medical school in the US?

As of 2022, there are 156 accredited medical schools in the United States. These institutions offer a four-year medical degree program known as the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. The MD program includes preclinical coursework, clinical rotations, and a capstone research project or thesis. After completing medical school, graduates must complete a three to seven year residency program before becoming licensed to practice medicine.
