How to Donate Your Body to Science in Maine

Residents of Maine who are older than 18 can arrange, in the event of death, to have their bodies donated to the University of New England's Anatomical Donor Program. Bodies donated through this program are used in the training of medical students and in research for the development of new clinical techniques and surgical procedures. Though there is no upper age limit for body donation, the presence of medical conditions such as HIV infection, tuberculosis or hepatitis may preclude the university from accepting a body for donation.
