How many years of school to become a pharmacist tech?

There's no set number of years of schooling specifically required to become a pharmacy technician. The requirements vary by state and sometimes even by employer. While some employers might prefer candidates with a high school diploma or GED, others might not require even that. However, many pharmacy technicians choose to obtain a postsecondary certificate or associate's degree in pharmacy technology to improve their job prospects and increase their knowledge and skills.
