What degrees are needed to become a massage therapist in North Carolina?

In order to become a massage therapist in North Carolina, you will need a high school diploma or GED, as well as a massage therapy license issued by the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy (NCMBBT). To obtain your license, you must complete a massage therapy program that meets the requirements set forth by the NCMBBT. These requirements include at least 600 hours of coursework and practical training, as well as passing the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx).
