William H. Bowen Law School is located in the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The school offers a Juris Doctor (JD) program earrned through either a full-time or part-time program. The degrees entails six semesters or three years for the full-time program and eight semesters or four years for the part-time program. The larger of the two law schools in Arkansas, the Fayetteville School of Law offers its own benefits. In addition to the JD program, the school offers a Master of Laws (LL.M.) for those already possessing a JD and seeking to teach law or enter the field of legal research. The law school offers legal clinics in 10 legal arenas including criminal prosecutions, transaction law and immigration law. These clinics allow students to gain first-hand exposure to the respective fields of law. The institution also offers four externships opportunities where students can do paid work at actual legal firms while enrolled.

Both institutions are in the U.S. News and World Report Best Law Schools rankings; UALR is in Tier 1 and UARK is in Tier 3. Both schools have similar student body sizes; UALR has about 440 students, UARK has about 450 students.
