Why GED diplomas show a GPA?

GED diplomas don't show a GPA (Grade Point Average). A GPA is calculated from individual course grades, and the GED is a single test, not a collection of individual courses. While the GED test results might be reported as a scaled score or individual subject scores, these are not used to calculate a GPA in the same way a high school transcript would be.
