Students applying to SNC as a freshman must have successfully completed a college prep curriculum in high school and graduated with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6. The college prep curriculum should include four years of English, two years of social studies, two years of lab science and three years of math (two years of algebra and one year of geometry). Students are also encouraged to complete at least two years of a foreign language, although this is not a requirement. Students with a GPA lower than 2.6 may be reviewed for provisional acceptance, along with students who have an ACT score below 19 or an SAT Math or Critical Reading score below 400. All students are required to submit an application with personal statement, official high school transcript and letter of recommendation.
Transfer students are required to submit a completed admission application and an official college transcript. The transfer student must be in good standing at all colleges he previously attended and eligible to return to the most recently attended four-year college. If a student has earned fewer than 15 college credits before transferring, he is required to submit an official high school transcript, as well as ACT or SAT scores.
International students applying to SNC must submit a completed application and essay in English and provide official results of English language test scores. International students are also required to complete the SNC International Student Form, submit a letter of recommendation in English and provide a bank statement showing proof of one year's worth of tuition. Students must also submit a transcript evaluation that details the course-by-course level of each college-level class previously completed abroad.
Graduate students must have obtained a bachelor's degree with at least a 3.0 overall GPA from an accredited undergraduate institution. Prospective students must also submit an official undergraduate transcript, a typed one-page statement of purpose, at least one confidential letter of recommendation and an application for admission. Those applying for a Master's in Education must also submit a copy of their current teaching license.
Students seeking admittance to the online adult degree completion program must submit proof that at least 45 college and university credits have already been earned. Students must submit an application and copies of transcripts from previous schools. All online adult degree completion students are required to earn at least 45 credits from SNC before the degree can be awarded.
