Review the essay requirements in your application packet. Write out your essay according to the instructions. Describe yourself through the essay. The rest of the application allows you to share what you've done, but the essay answers the question of why you've done these things.
Search for images that show the character traits and personality that is described in your essay. Use images of yourself. Find at least one picture for each point in your essay.
Click on the "Insert" tab in PowerPoint and click on "Picture." Insert the first picture from your collection. Click "Insert" and then click "WordArt." Type in a caption for your picture that describes the personality trait you are illustrating. The caption should be no longer than one sentence.
Press "Ctrl+M" to create a new, blank slide; repeat the process of inserting pictures and captions until you've included all of your images and illustrated all of your points.
Collect the work that you want to highlight in your portfolio. Organize it in a logical manner. Chronological organization works if your examples are all the same type. If you are showing different skills, group the items by type and then chronologically.
Take high resolution pictures of your work with a digital camera.
Load the pictures from the digital camera onto your computer.
Open PowerPoint and click on the "Insert" tab. Click "Photo Album" and then click on "File/Disk." Browse to the location of the pictures from your digital camera and click to select the first picture. Hold down "Shift" on the keyboard and click the last picture in the set to select all the images. Click the "Insert" button.
Click "Create" to open a new presentation with all the pictures from your portfolio. Click on "Insert" and click "WordArt." Choose a style. Type the caption for that picture. Repeat the process for all the images in the presentation.
