What college course do you need to become a tattooist?

While there are some vocational schools and community colleges that offer tattooing courses, there is no formal college degree required to become a tattooist. Many tattoo artists learn the trade through apprenticeships with experienced tattooers. During an apprenticeship, aspiring tattooists learn about tattooing techniques, safety and sanitation practices, and the equipment used in the trade. They also gain hands-on experience by practicing on synthetic skin and, eventually, on live clients.
