The University of Florida is the home of the state's best business school. U.S. News and World Report ranked the university's business program as the 37th highest rated program in the nation. U.S. News rated programs based on a number of factors including faculty surveys, placement rates, GMAT scores, mean starting salaries, sign-on bonuses and the like.
The University of Florida offers a number of degree options for students pursuing the MBA degree. The program offers an online MBA option, a professional MBA (for working professionals), an executive MBA (for executives with eight or more years of executive level work experience) and the traditional full-time MBA. The University of Miami has the distinction of being recognized by the Financial Times as one of the top-rated business programs with a global emphasis. Among different programs worldwide, Miami ranked in the top 100. Aside from a full-time MBA and an executive MBA option, the University of Miami also offers a doctorate in the field of business with different options available for research emphases. The executive MBA program was likewise highly ranked by Financial Times in 2010 at No. 33. Miami offers its students flexibility with its three campuses. Areas of emphasis in the MBA program include accounting, computer information systems, finance, international business, management, marketing, real estate and mergers and acquisitions.
