Auto Body Paint & Repair Colleges

Auto body paint and repair colleges teach technicians how to match new paint to old colors using spray guns. Students also learn how to determine the extent of vehicle damage and which body parts need repair or replacement. Median hourly wages of auto body repairers and transportation equipment painters in May 2008 were $17.81 and $17.86 respectively, according to the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics. Several colleges prepare students for this field through both classroom and hands-on training.
