In 2010, U.S. News and World Report ranked the college 61st among all universities in the United States. The school's doctorate in clinical psychology program offers a concentration in forensic psychology, which features classes in criminal and civil law, trauma and family violence, forensic assessment and adolescent problem behavior. Only 2 percent of students who apply receive admission to the college's competitive psychology doctorate program, reports the college's website. The University of Arizona in Tucson is a public university that is home to more than 38,000 undergraduate and graduate students. A bachelor's degree is necessary for admission to the college's doctoral program in psychology with a focus in forensics, and the college prefers applicants for the highly competitive program whose majors were psychology at the baccalaureate level.
