Located in Poteau, Carl Albert State University offers an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology. Western Oklahoma State College, located in Altus, offers a two-year program leading to the completion of an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology. Entrance to the program is competitive. Priority is given to students who have completed support classes, including human anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and biology, and such general education classes as social sciences, English, mathematics and humanities. Located in Tulsa, Tulsa Tech offers a full-time two-year radiologic technician program. Students receive a total of 2,627 hours of instruction throughout the course of the program. Two days each week are spent in the classroom. Three days each week, students partake in clinical rotations to practice the skills that they learned in the classroom. Clinical rotations are typically scheduled during daytime hours, though students occasionally may be required to partake in evening or weekend clinical rotations.
