Degrees in Companion Animal Behavior

Animal behaviorists are professionals who have earned a master's degree or higher with at least 24 credits in behavioral science. The Association of Companion Animal Behavior Counselors (ACABC) provides certification to individuals who have completed these qualifications and plan on conducting scientific research, teaching or practicing applied companion animal behavior counseling. While there is only one school offering degrees specific to companion animal behavior, there are other schools that offer required coursework for certification in areas like experimental psychology, ethology and animal behavior.
