How do I Cite Scientific Textbooks?

To avoid plagiarism, a student writing a research paper at nearly any level of education should cite his source of information. Scientific textbooks can be cited in the same way as any other published book, although they may be a bit trickier because they are often edited or have multiple authors. How to cite the textbook will have to do with the citation format being used and details specific to the textbook.
