Spanish Interpreter Schools

As of 2007, roughly 12 percent of American citizens spoke Spanish as their primary language, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Spanish interpreters help such individuals understand and communicate with professionals in fields like medicine or law, or help facilitate conversations between English and Spanish speakers for business, political or other reasons. A small number of schools in the United States offer post-secondary education programs for would-be Spanish interpreters. Graduates of these programs can enter the field of interpretation and translation, which the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistic predicts will grow by 22 percent from 2008 through 2018.
