LSCS offers associate's degrees as well as certificates in a variety of subjects. You can choose from among 138 programs of study at the eight campuses. These degrees require the completion of 60 to 72 credits, depending on your program. If you attend the University Center campus, you can take upper level as well as graduate classes thanks to LSCS's partnerships with several universities. Enroll with one of the partner universities at either the Montgomery or University Park campuses and you can get a bachelor's or master's degree without traveling to the university campuses.
There are eight campuses to choose from, including Cyfair, Kingwood, Montgomery, North Harris, Tomball, University Park, University Center and LSC Online. Many of the degrees are offered at more than one campus, allowing you to choose the campus that is most convenient for you. The campuses also partner with businesses to give students lots of options upon graduation.
There are separate rates, depending on whether you live within the LSCS district, outside the district but in Texas or out of state. Tuition is determined by the number of credits taken per term and residency. Additionally, you'll be responsible for paying fees such as general use, student activity and technology fees.
LSCS is an open enrollment institution, so anyone who wants to attend can. You first must complete the online enrollment guide, apply for admissions, undergo placement testing, attend new student orientation and register for classes. You also may also apply for financial aid. Placement testing assesses all students skills in reading, writing and math and cost $29 as of January 2011.
