Located in the heart of Los Angeles is the Los Angeles Recording School. Here students get to receive hands-on training and education as part of their Recording Engineering Program. Students will be required to complete 900 training hours that will include every aspect of music and music recording. A student that enters into the program will learn about mixing, recording, music optimization tools and even pairing music in television and movies.
Located in La Mirda, California is Biola University. Within their School of Arts and Sciences students can focus on a major in music, music education, music in worship, music composition or music performance. All degrees are available as Associate's and Bachelor's degrees so students can choose how far they wish to take their music education. All music majors are completed through classes at the Conservatory of Music located on the Biola campus.
In the heart of San Francisco is the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where talented prospective musicians can learn to hone their skills and refine their talents under the training of high-caliber instructors. The San Francisco Conservatory of Music holds only 390 students total and prides itself on being able to provide one-on-one and hands-on education to every student that enters their program. The San Francisco Conservatory of Music requires every prospective student to go through an application and interview process to determine their eligibility for admission.
Located in Costa Mesa, California, Vanguard University's Department of Music focuses on majors such as music composition, music education, music ministry and music performance. Here students can earn either an Associate or Bachelor of arts in their desired music major. Students that enter the Department of Music at Vanguard will perform live in front of students and alumni several times throughout the year in school performances. Along with typical university applications, students that desire a position in the Department of Music must attend an official audition with the department professors prior to admission.
