Check websites, such as AllGraphicDesign.com. It is full of resources for graphic designers and students, plus it also has a page that lists graphic design schools, colleges and courses in California.
Consult your school counselor. If you are still in high school, get some assistance from your guidance counselor regarding college admissions. If she cannot offer specific advice about graphics courses, talk to an art or graphics teacher at your school who may be better able to help you.
Use Google Maps to search. Center your search on "California" and then search "Graphics college." This will also help you check the location of your possible choices, which may be important if you want to live close to home or a certain city.
Attend a college fair. College fairs allow you to talk to college representatives to find out what it is like to attend that particular university. You may be able to speak with current students who can talk you through the courses in detail. This is useful if you want to find out more information before making your decision.
