Read over the research paper and make a list of any notes given by your instructor. These points will need to be addressed in the revision process.
Give a copy of the paper to every member of the team and have them take it home and read it for errors, clarity issues or other problems.
Discuss all of the problems noted by teammates and your teacher at your next group meeting. From there, you should have a good idea of what needs to be fixed.
Assign roles to the members of your research team based on their strengths. Try to give everyone an even workload. Strong writers can work on editing and revisions and strong researchers can look for new data to incorporate to strengthen the paper. Every team member should help with at least two areas of the paper, such as meeting coordination, writing, editing, layout and research.
Work with your team to incorporate any new edits, research or sections that you feel strengthen the project. Hold one final meeting in which everyone can read the paper together and look for last-minute details, and then submit your revised paper.
