Colleges With Good Child Development Degrees

Many colleges and universities nationwide offer degrees in child development. The four schools with the highest percentage of recent child development graduates are Concordia University, Fresno Pacific University, Saint Joseph College and Marygrove College. A child development degree can prepare you for a diverse range of careers, from social work to teaching, and psychology to child welfare programs.

    Marygrove College

    • This college in Detroit, Michigan, offers four programs in child development: associate of arts, bachelor of arts, early childhood education minor and endorsement for teacher certification. Marygrove focuses on the best methods for educating children, the key roles of family and community support for children, and understanding the physical and emotional development of children. Most of the school's programs are geared toward future teachers and educators, and require all students to maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 or higher.
