Indiana Engineering Degrees

There are a number of engineering schools in the United States, but there are only a handful of schools offering engineering degrees in Indiana. These schools all provide at least bachelor's degrees in engineering, with some of them also providing additional programs for master's degrees and even doctorate degrees in engineering.
  1. Purdue University in Indianapolis

    • Purdue University, located in Indianapolis, offers a number of engineering degrees, including graduate level programs. It is listed as one the best engineering schools in Indiana by SchoolsAhh, Engineering Schools in USA and Education Portal. According to Engineering Schools in USA, Purdue had 169 graduate students for the 2008 to 2009 academic school year. The university offers degree programs in computer engineering, physics, environmental engineering, manufacturing, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering and biomedical engineering.

    Purdue University in Lafayette

    • While technically under the same umbrella as the school in Indianapolis, Purdue University in Lafayette does operate independently of the other school and offers a different set of engineering degree programs at its campus, including such things as agricultural engineering, chemical engineering and nuclear engineering. Like the Indianapolis school, however, it also offers aerospace, biomedical, computer, electrical, manufacturing and mechanical engineering degrees.

    Indiana State University

    • According to Education Portal, Indiana State offers a number of degree programs at its Terre Haute campus for those interested in studying engineering. It offers degrees in electronics technology and associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees in its electronics and computer technology program.

    University of Notre Dame

    • According to Engineering Schools in USA, the College of Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, located in the town of the same name, had 387 students enrolled in its graduate program for engineering degrees in the 2008 to 2009 academic year. The program offers engineering degrees in a variety of subjects, including electrical and environmental engineering as well as biomedical, chemical and civil engineering. Notre Dame also has programs for aerospace, mechanical and environmental engineering.
