Become familiar with the policies, requirements and offerings of your university. Read the course catalog, take advantage of new student resources and prticipate in orientation or advising day activities.
Select a major and commit to it. Delaying that choice or changing your major mid-stream could make it more difficult to graduate quickly.
Meet with an academic advisor who can help you to figure out the academic requirements, the number of credits you will need to graduate and how quickly you can graduate. Ask about the university's summer and winter session offerings.
Make a plan. With the help of your advisor, draw up a plan with the goal of graduating in the least amount of time possible. Plan a semester by semester breakdown of the classes you will need to take.
Attend class, study hard and perform well on your exams on the first try. Take classes during all available winter and summer sessions. If your university does not have these extra opportunities to earn credits, a nearby university might offer winter or summer sessions for credits that could then be transferred to your university.
