How to Write a Letter for Class Reunions

It has been years since you have seen your classmates from high school. How you wish everyone could gather again one more time. It can be done by creating an informative letter and sending it to all of your classmates. If the letter is written in a manner that stirs interest, a reunion gathering could be well on its way. The reunion letter is essential for assembling people from all over the country to leave their families, jobs and businesses to meet up with their old classmates. Create it effectively and they will come.

Instructions

Head the letter with the date the letter was written and address the letter in general by stating, "Dear Classmates". Express in no uncertain terms the value of reuniting as a class to continue developing life-long relationships that began during the early years. Mention some breaking news about some of the classmates that have new births, recently married or academic achievements. You may want to include pictures of the venue or a previous class reunion picture. All are used to spark interest and excitement about the class reunion.

    • 2

Provide each classmate with the proposed date, time, place and a schedule of reunion events and a deadline to respond to the invitation. Request each participant to forward their email address, phone number and mailing address. Provide the estimated cost associated with the reunion so that each participant will know in advance what is expected of them financially.

    • 3

Write your name, email address, phone number and mailing address in the letter. Reiterate the deadline for all participants to respond so that you can make all of the final arrangements for your reunion event.

End the letter on a high note. Share your desire to see everyone during the reunion. Indicate how everyone that you have talked to about the reunion are excited. This is your opportunity to insert your last sales pitch for the reunion. Close by saying, "Sincerely yours."
