Provide your personal information in the first section of your resume. This consists of your first name, last name, address, phone number, email, nationality, age, marital status and a passport-sized, color photograph.
Provide, in the next section, your Expérience professionnelle, or personal experience. This is a chronological list of companies for which you have worked, your job descriptions, the dates of employment and any notable achievements.
Describe your "Formation," or education, in the next section. List only your highest degrees, as well as the names, locations and graduation dates.
List your language and computer skills in the fourth section. "Langues," or languages, comprise all in which you have fluency. Use qualifiers such as "notions" (basic language), "bonnes connaissances" (conversant), "lu, écrit, parlé" (proficient at reading, writing, speaking), "courant" (fluent), "bilingue" (bilingual) and "langue maternelle" (native language) to describe your language fluency. Do not exaggerate your language fluency. In the "Informatique" (computer) section, indicate operating systems and software programs with which you are familiar.
Indicate, in the "Centres d'intérêt" section, interests that will set you apart from the crowd. Write three to four lines about your hobbies and passions, just as you would on an American resume, and be prepared to discuss them with the interviewer.
