To calculate the density of anything, you simply divide the amount or number of the things by the area they occupy. To get human population density for a given location, you divide the total number of people by the area of the location. So to calculate the surface charge density of a solid, you divide the total surface charge by the surface area of the solid. The charge will be uniformly distributed over the surface of the solid.
