How to Cite a Database Source

If you use an article retrieved from an electronic database as a source of information for your term paper, you may need to specify the source of the article in your reference list. The American Psychological Association (APA) format does not require you to provide database information, but you may do so if you wish. Both the Chicago Manual of Style and Modern Language Association (MLA) formats ask that you provide information about the database.
