How to Enter Multiple Authors Into Endnote Turabian

Turabian style, named for its style manual author Kate L. Turabian, is very similar to the Chicago Manual of Style. However, while Chicago style is weighted toward general publishing guidelines, Turabian style is focused on student paper guidelines. If you've written an academic paper using outside sources of information, you'll need to include an endnotes section indicating the publication and its author or authors.

Instructions

    • 1

Find and note the publication information required for the endnote. For example, endnotes for a book requires the author(s), book title, city of publication, publisher, year published and page number of the citation.

    • 2

Arrange the endnote information in the following order and style: John Smith, Title, (City: Publisher, Year), page #. The title of the publication should be italicized.

    • 3

List publications that have two or three authors in the following manner: John Smith, Joe Smith and John Doe, Title, (City: Publisher, Year), page #.

    • 4

Use the terms "et al" or "and others" for publications with more than three authors. For example: John Smith and others (or et al), Title, (City: Publisher, Year), page #. This rule holds true for any kind of resource you are citing.
