How to Make Recruitment Posters for a Fraternity

Every year fraternities host a “Rush” event, which lasts one or two weeks. During this time fraternities focus all their energy on recruiting new people. The recruitment process usually involves a number of smaller events that inform and welcome people into the fraternity. The best way to get people to your Rush events is to hang posters around campus. Include all necessary information to increase your chances of recruiting the best people.

Instructions

    • 1

Write the name of your fraternity at the top of the poster. If your fraternity has adopted an official font for the name, use that. Otherwise, use a font of your choice. Include the fraternity logo above, below or beside the name.

    • 2

List basic information about your fraternity, including its purpose and the type of recruits you prefer. Keep this information as simple as possible. Consider presenting this in bullet points.

    • 3

Highlight your Rush events and any other information an interested person needs to know. The Rush event information should, at the least, include time, place, activities taking place at the event and anything a possible recruit should bring.

    • 4

Solicit sponsorships from local businesses. Offer to include the business's logo or other information on the poster in exchange for products or money. Only solicit to businesses that sell predominately to students.
