Who is the founder of harvrd university?

Harvard University was founded by Massachusetts Bay Colony legislators in 1636. There wasn't a single founder, but rather a group of Puritan leaders who saw the need for a college to educate ministers. John Harvard, however, bequeathed a significant portion of his library and half his estate to the institution, leading to it being named in his honor.
